My Husband, the Television Star

The History Channel has been filming a new season of the show Ice Road Truckers at the terminal where Ben works. The have been there for something like six months or so. The show is about the line drivers that take the deliveries up to the North Slope and Prudhoe Bay, which Ben doesn't do, but they filmed a lot of the show in the warehouse. So, while Ben isn't in any main role or anything, he is in the show (probably in the background moving a pallet of something).
So, if you want to see Ben on T.V. tune in to Ice Road Truckers this Sunday night on the History Channel!

Happy Anniversary!!

I love this picture of Ben and I just being goofy while we were getting our wedding pictures done at the temple. It is just so us.

Today is mine and Ben's 3rd anniversary. Honestly, it seems like we have been married way longer than that. I wouldn't change anything about our lives for the world. I love Ben so much and I am so glad that we can spend the rest of forever together.

I love you sweetie!!!

Cloe's Kuspuk

A friend in our ward who is part Eskimo made Cloe a traditional Native Alaskan kuspuk. There are a lot of differences in styles that very from tribe to tribe, but Cloe's is fashioned after the Eskimo style. It's a little big (mostly in the arms) but it's so cute and I like it so much!

STAR WARS!

So, last weekend on a cable channel they played all of the Star Wars movies in a row. Since Ben and I own like 10 movies (none of which are Star Wars) I decided that I would watch them in all of their awesomeness. Cloe watched some of them with me and I taught her to say "Star Wars!" It was so cool!! I was so proud of her. It was truly one of the happiest moments of my motherhood (not really... but it was pretty cute)

Although Cloe isn't a diehard fan like her cousin Luke, I am hoping that she will be one soon.

Easter 2009

Sorry I haven't posted anything new in a little while, I've been battling a little bit of morning sickness. It's not anywhere near as bad as I was with Cloe, but still enough to make me not want to do anything.

We had a fun Easter this year. Cloe was too young to appreciate it last year. We did an Easter egg hunt Saturday in our basement (there is still snow outside) and Cloe had a blast! She was running around the basement saying "Egg, where are you?" over and over. It was hilarious!

She loved her Easter basket which mostly had books and things like that (the last thing she needs is candy...)

We got her a new Easter dress, she looks so big in it! She is changing from my baby into my little girl more and more everyday.

Exciting News!!

Ben and I just found out yesterday that we are having another baby. We are so excited and blessed. We are so happy that we are able to expand our family. I feel great. No problems. I'm not even nauseated.... yet...

My Little Genius!

Cloe loving on her doggies

Cloe loves to dress up in anything she can find. In this case, she found one of my aprons and her snow hat.

Cloe is developing so quickly I can hardly keep up with her. She turned 18 months old last Saturday and went to nursery last Sunday for the first time. She loved it!!

This evening I was giving her a bedtime snack (grapes, strawberries and a granola bar) and she was counting the grapes a put on her tray. I knew that she could already count to five, but she counted to ten without any help or prompting!! I couldn't believe it.

She knows about 15 of the letters of the alphabet by sight and learns more and more letters everyday.

She can recognize some colors. The ones she knows are yellow, green, blue, and red.

She talks ALL the time. She mostly talks in two or three-word sentences. Some of the things she says are:

"Sock off/on"

"Shoe off/on"

"Go night-night"

"Soft pillow/blanket"

"Bye-bye Daddy/Mama/Archie/Gus"

"Come on"

"Go bye-bye car"

"More grapes, please"

"Awesome"

"Bust Daddy/Mama" (This is when she wants to bump her fist against someone else's)

"Oh yeah!"

"Sunbeam" (Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam is her favorite song)

"Popcorn" (Popcorn Poppin' is another one of her favorites)

...and more!

She learns something new everyday, and is always surprising me with what she knows. She is getting so big! She is the absolute center of our universe and we wouldn't want it any other way.
