Getting Old
A couple of weeks ago I was walking out to the car with Cloe so that we could go run some errands and I slipped on the ice and fell. I was carrying Cloe, but luckily she didn't get hurt or anything. It hurt pretty bad but it still hasn't gone away. I was a little concerned because it has been going on for so long, and everytime I stand up a think I'm going to cry because of how much it hurts. It turns out.... I broke my tailbone. I can't believe it! I didn't realize that at the age of 22 I should be concerned about breaking a bone when I fall. I guess I'm getting old.

The Things I Put Up With...
I was dishing up some dinner for Ben last night, and while he is always grateful for food, he seemed a little TOO impressed with the Chesseburger Pie I made from a recipe off of the Bisquick box. I should have known he was up to something...
Ben has always been the "hunter-gatherer" type and I haven't ever had any problems with that. He likes hunting and fishing more for the "free food" aspect of it than the sport, and I'm sure most of you know that Ben is always scheming and loves to get anything for free. Unfortunately, all of these factors collided yesterday at the dinner table....
Ben saw an ad in the classifieds of the newspaper for some free chickens. He called the man that owned them and the man said that he just didn't want to kill anymore of them himself and ended up with more than he needed. I agreed to let Ben get them because I don't know if any of you have noticed, but the price of chicken has sky-rocketed recently. Ben agreed that he would get six chickens from the man and take care of the whole killing thing himself.
But you give an inch and they take a mile...
Before I knew it Ben was telling me about all of the baby chickens he was going to bring home to me too, with the assurance of eggs within a couple of months. I can't believe I agreed to it. Where are we going to keep baby chickens for the rest of the winter? Apparently, we will be keeping them inside until it warms up and Ben can build a coop or something....
And although Ben claims that he is always wanted chickens, he didn't seem serious about it until our trip to Florida this last year.... Thanks a lot Grandma and Grandpa...
Just kidding! I don't mind too much. Of course, we've only had the babies inside for about 15 minutes...

Cloe's First Haircut
On Monday, Ben and I took Cloe over to our cousin's house to get Cloe's hair cut. I would have loved to have been one of those people who don't cut their daughter's hair until they were almost 5 (Callie...) but Cloe's bangs were so long we couldn't keep them out of her eyes. We gave her a candy cane and she stayed perfectly still the whole time. After her hair was all cut, Alyssa (our cousin) curled Cloe's hair, she looked so cute and so big!

I know this is a little late, but we have been having a LOT of computer problems.
We had a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with our cousins and their family and we had a really fun time watching there two boys open their presents. We slept in Christmas morning because we figured that we would take advantage of the couple extra hours. Cloe was excited about all of her new toys and she expecially liked the electric piano we got for her. That night we went over to some friends house and had dinner with them and their family.
Unfortunately, Ben and I only used our video camera to record our Christmas and we forgot to take and still shots. Ben is going to try to figure out if we can get some still shots off of the video camera. Sorry everyone!
